What we love most about performing at a re-entry facility is that inmates there generally have five years or less left to serve. This frees us up to speak on the need for sober, strong men on the outside, to help us raise the children out here so desperately in need of guidance. Patty brings it pretty heavy as she tells them of the strain and heartache brought on the entire family when the father does time. More than anything, we pray that we are planting seeds of the most fruitful kind... seeds of a relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

We had the luxury of a photo shoot at today's show! It is a felony to bring a phone into a prison, so we have very little media to show exactly what we are doing in these facilities. Wakulla Annex is a special kind of place for us. We can feel that a lot of the men are struggling. But they show up to our shows, and we like to think they leave with a bit of Hope and positivity. We hope to return to Wakulla Annex many times in our future, God Willing.
We would be lying if we said we aren't impressed by the amazing people we get to work with in this adventure! This man, Chaplain David Tillman, is a shining example of excellence, and it is an honor to work along side of him. We are so happy to be dealing with responsive, in-it-for-the-right-reasons, upstanding men and women!

The most important aspect of our 'show' behind bars is the sharing of The Gospel with the incarcerated church as well as with those who have never heard the Good News before. The men seem to listen intently, and we pray earnestly that God reaches them through His Word and helps to deliver them from sin and pain.

We enjoyed the company of 84 men this afternoon, as we read from The Bible, told stories, listened to stories, and sang our hearts out! They made us feel more than welcome.
Once we explain to a room of inmates that Patty's son spent many years in Florida prisons, they seem to lend a respectful ear and listen to what we have to say. THEN we bring the Gospel! Amen!
Wakulla County is near and dear to our hearts, and being able to minister to inmates here feels like nothing short of a blessing!
